1. WHAT IS THE STEEL PLATE SPIRAL STAIRCASE?

1.1 Helical staircase/ Steel plate spiral staircase:

This is the type of staircase that sometimes appears on television, in luxury villas, penthouses, or in high-class restaurants and hotels. 

The monolithic design of the spiral staircase makes it ideal for luxurious modern homes. They are not really popular because a homeowner who wants one of these staircases needs a precise design team, meticulous calculations,... Additionally, the expense of ownership is not insignificant.

The spiral staircase has a twisted shape, the stairs go up in a soft and flexible way. They are made entirely of metal (steel).

Steel spiral staircase is divided into 2 types:

• Curved round circle cylindrical iron spiral staircase

• Double-helix spiral staircase

1.2 The winding staircase:

Different from a spiral staircase, the winding staircase has stair steps that are concrete. Then, the railing will be bent and shaped according to the available stairs. The laser cut steel plate or the classic wrought iron railing can be used for the patterns.

2.1 Curved round circle cylindrical iron spiral staircase:

The structure is a circular cylinder centered in the middle. The stair threads around that cylinder and the outer railing are steel sheets. This type of staircase is quite popular and common. We can see them being made in boarding houses, making ladders to the roof. They are used to make use of narrow spaces.

The maximum spiral diameter of the stairs is 2,200mm (container size).

2.2 Double-helix spiral staircase:

This staircase has a wider twist than usual, revealing the center of the stairs to help the architecture have more depth when viewed from above or below. 

• The inner railing is a bent steel plate. 
• The spiral staircases are made of steel and are combined with carpet, stone, or wood to reduce noise, which increases the sophistication of the stairs. 
• The outside railing is a large, slightly bent steel plate. 
• The handrail is made on the inside of the handrail. 
• The maximum spiral diameter of the stairs is 2,200 mm (container size).
